Hi
I am sure some of the people out there listened as I did to Gordon Wright's talks at the last ABCC conference. I was just wondering whether anyone was actually using the methodology he outlined to monitor athletes using heart rate variability measurements to try to avoid over training?
Just wondering as I'm interested.
Regards.
Quentin.

I listened but couldn't quite make enough notes on the methodology. would like to try it as it sounds a good idea.
Has anyone got the 'instructions' or do we have a transcript of the presentation available?

Gordon gave his e-mail address at the conference, offering to send a copy of his presentation to anyone interested. He did that for me but remember that it is only possible to measure R-R data with the Polar CS600 or RS800.
Because Brian made his e-mail address freely available at Pedal Power it should be OK for me to pass it on.

We published a preview of the substance of Gordon't talk (with graphs and diagrams)in Issue 3/2007 of Cycle Coaching and have been promised a follow-up piece by Australian sports scientist Ben Wisbey for issue 3/2008.
