February & March ~ What now?Been watching the board for a few days, since Malcolm sent the email, and have seen little activity. So I thought I'd try and strir up some interest...
As the weather seems to be getting warmer (did we really have a winter?); What are you getting your coached athletes to do over the coming two months in the build up to the season? Hill work, speed work, VO2max development, muscular endurance, all of the above? Or anything else you can share with us that isn't top secret!
Just being nosey and trying to get us talking.

Having only recently started coaching my first few victims,I am being quite conservative at the moment in methods and am also working mostly with riders who are quite limited for time to train due to family/work commitments. Hence I have been giving them a programme based on plenty of turbo training which I think is the most efficient way to improve. Most have now completed the first 10 week block of steady sessions and are now moving into the three stage interval workouts suggested in the coaching manual for the Feb/March period. On the road they are remaining riding at comfortable level 2,some on fixed if they prefer and working on increasing pedalling speed.I am trying to make sure most of the Sunday club group are involved so that they all have the same aim of working at this level. They all have main targets in around July time so I am not wanting to pick things up too much yet but the turbo sessions do increase in intensity a fair bit entering March so the early season club events shouldn't come as too much of a shock.
Not sure about lack of winter we seem to have plenty here today
Anyone else got some good programmes together?
